[blockquote source=”Luke 17:11-19 (NIV)“]One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.  He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.[/blockquote]

One day, when I was about six years old, my cousin brought me to a movie. We decided to hit the snack bar for some popcorn. I then noticed that he said “thank you” to the guy after he paid for it.

I was surprised by what he did!

Asking him, “why did you have to thank him when you are the customer?”  He laughed and said, “hey, it’s nice to be polite and besides it doesn’t cost you anything to say thank you. Furthermore, it might just make his day!”

Those words have such a huge impact on my life.  Now, I make it a point to express my gratitude whenever I can.

And I have not been able to thank God enough for all that He has done for me, is doing for me, and will do for me.

How can you make gratitude a part of your life?

I’ve made expressing gratitude as part of my morning ritual. The first part includes thanking God for what He has given and blessed me with. The second part is to thank God for all my goals and aspirations. Additionally, I also ask for God’s help and guidance for my goals.

Dear Father, I thank You for all that You have done for me, all that You are doing for me, and all that You will ever do for me.  In Jesus name, Amen.
