[blockquote source=”1 Timothy 5:24-25 (NIV)“]The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them, in the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden.[/blockquote]

We Chinese has a saying, “紙包不住火“, which literally means that paper cannot cover fire.  In other words, any evil doings will eventually be revealed.  As humans, we all sin, in one way or another.  The only difference is whether our sins are obvious or they are only committed in private.

How can we then allow the truth to come into our lives so that we no longer have to hide from our sins?

  • Learn: As we learn the truth, each day, we become men and women who are aware of our own sinful nature.  We diligently study the Bible.  Observe what God is communicating to us.
  • Live: As we live our lives according to the principles learned, we allow the truth to come into our lives.
  • Lead: By leading others in the truth, we obey God.

Father, I thank You for Your Word.  I want to learn to obey You and lead others in the same away.  In Jesus name, Amen.
